A little bit of this can go a long way.

Inspiration! Boom! Often it seems as though the inspiration for something hits us out of the blue and will motivate us to do something. Without trying to sound too cliche here and talking about inspiration, I want to take a moment to salute the small things in life, the fleeting moments that often go undetected, and finding some inspiration to propel us forward. One morning recently, I was having one of those mornings, as we all do, where it was exceedingly difficult to get out of bed and start the day. The thing that spurred me forward was a necklace. I know…I know. I was excited about this find, to add it to my wardrobe and add life to some well worn outfits. I got to work and some co-workers and I were laughing about how a small accessory to an outfit can be the inspiration for the entire outfit that day and be the thing that helped me start my day. The more I thought about it the more I realized that sometimes a little inspiration goes a long way and maybe it’s not so funny after all. For whatever reason that morning I needed a little extra something to look forward to, to think about, or focus on. Looking back on it now I see that before even getting out of bed that morning I was already dreading the day and the things that lay ahead of me as if I could predict anything.

Any little thing in life can be the inspiration which is pretty cool. Maybe a song inspires you to simply move and leads to setting goals for better fitness. Perhaps a passing thought will turn into letter to a loved one. Or maybe the sunshine inspires you to get outside and get some fresh air or plant a garden you can enjoy all summer. What ever the moment, what ever the inspiration, hold on to it and see where it takes you. Whether a necklace or a life changing eye opening experience, sometimes changes are needed and sometimes we need a nudge forward. Keep your awareness keen to these moments and good luck!

Be well,

Megan
