Happy anniversary to the Good Life Institute! It has been one year since Kariah and I officially opened our private practice. One year full of learning, meeting wonderful people, and having fun. However, for many years prior to this we talked, planned, coordinated, and worked hard at making the idea of private practice a reality. We continue to work hard at reaching our goals, both short term and long term. Our love for our work, and our practice was born out of the idea that everyone deserves a chance at the good life, whatever that is for them. Kariah and I share a similar vision for ourselves both personally and professionally. It is a lot of hard work. Some days are better than others. We have our doubts, uncertainties, and our triumphs that we celebrate. It is no different when working on goals in therapy.
We are looking forward to continuing growing our practice and bringing our clients and our community an opportunity to help make their goals a reality. Whether these goals are to better a relationship, increase self-esteem, work through stress, anxiety, depression, or other concerns, we are here to help.
Listening to our clients we understand that everyone has their own definition of what makes it a good life for them personally. We realized long ago that this was our starting point, both as our theory of being a therapist but also an organizing principle for the kind of practice we want to be a part of. We want to offer support, guidance, and a learning environment in a group setting as a way to help our clients realize the good life. Thus the name The Good Life Institute was born.
We want to thank family and friends and each of you for the encouragement and guidance along the way to help Kariah and I make our goals a reality.
